1. Our Commitment

Magnolia Sporting Clays is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information about our facility, services, and events.

We work to ensure our website meets or exceeds the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — an internationally recognized standard developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

2. Conformance Status

This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of the content do not yet fully conform to the accessibility standard. We are actively working to identify and remediate any gaps.

Our accessibility work is ongoing. We review and improve the site regularly and treat accessibility as a continuous practice, not a one-time checklist.

3. Technical Specifications

This website relies on the following technologies for conformance with WCAG 2.1:

  • HTML5 — semantic structure and landmark elements
  • CSS3 — visual presentation, responsive layout, and motion preferences
  • JavaScript — interactive components with ARIA state management

The website has been built to be compatible with modern assistive technologies, including:

  • Screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom up to 200% without loss of content or functionality
  • High contrast display modes
  • Reduced motion preferences via prefers-reduced-motion CSS media query

4. Accessibility Features

  • Skip-to-content link: A visible skip link appears on keyboard focus, allowing keyboard users to bypass navigation and jump directly to main content
  • Semantic HTML structure: Proper use of headings (H1–H3), lists, landmark regions (<nav>, <main>, <footer>), and sectioning elements
  • ARIA landmarks and labels: Navigation regions, main content area, and interactive widgets include descriptive ARIA labels
  • Keyboard navigation: All interactive elements (links, buttons, form controls) are reachable and operable using only a keyboard
  • Visible focus indicators: All keyboard-focused elements display a visible focus ring (2px solid outline) meeting WCAG 2.1 requirements
  • Color contrast: Text and background color combinations meet WCAG AA minimum contrast ratios (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
  • Descriptive alt text: All meaningful images include descriptive alternative text; decorative images use empty alt attributes
  • Form labels: All form inputs are associated with descriptive labels
  • Mobile menu ARIA state: The hamburger menu toggle communicates its expanded/collapsed state to assistive technologies via aria-expanded
  • Reduced motion: Animations respect the prefers-reduced-motion media query and are minimized or disabled for users who prefer less motion
  • Resizable text: Page content remains readable and functional when text is resized up to 200% in the browser
  • Active page indication: The current page is indicated via aria-current="page" on the active navigation link

5. Known Limitations

While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, the following known limitations are being actively addressed:

  • Some older images: A small number of images from our original gallery collection may lack fully descriptive alt text. We are reviewing and updating these on an ongoing basis.
  • Third-party embedded content: Content embedded from third-party platforms (such as Google Maps) may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA. We recommend using the provided address and directions link as an alternative.
